Meet Lynda Christian - Artist

Tell us about a little bit about your business 

I individually hand make metal art suitable for outdoors as well as indoors. I try to use recycled metals as much as possible. My pieces range from pieces as tall as circa 2 meter tall trees, many meters long vines, welcome/friendship rings, hand-tied floral bunches to 2 cms in diameter broaches.

What Inspires you?

Everything, I try to look at things in a different way, I especially enjoy nature.

What do you consider your greatest achievement to date? 

Winning a peoples vote for one of my pieces. It was wonderful to have such a response from the public.

What is your greatest indulgence?

Time out to hike, explore and chill.

What piece of advice would you give someone interested in starting in this field?

Go for it, if you don't try you'll never know, it might just work. Better then looking back and wondering 'what if?'.

What was the most stressful part about setting up in business and how did you overcome it? 

Not having a steady income, some was hard work, some was luck.

Plans for the year ahead?

Creating new pieces.
